Styles of Carpets

Cut Pile – This category of carpets are manufactured by a particular technique: cutting yarn loops to create an upright pile. They are often deemed more sumptuous and formal than their loop pile cousins.

Saxony – Tightly cut piles consisting of two or more fibres twisted together are then heat-set straight to create Saxony carpets. Where other styles can occasionally feel somewhat homogenous, this technique allows for individual fibres to remain distinct. Multi-Level Loop – Similar to level loop carpets, except as the name implies – loop heights vary. There are usually two or three different heights in total, which make it seem less synthetic and more of a natural/informal product.
